Welcome Baby with CTMH

I'm in love with the color of the year from Close To My Heart...BASHFUL.  It's this soft muted pink and I love it, don't you.  I thought it was crying out to be made into a baby card, so that's exactly what I did.  The whole card was made with CTMH products including this must have.

Click here to get this adorable stamp with coordinating die.  It's so stinkin cute.  Now I just have to figure out how to incorporate this into every project I do, LOL.

For the inside of the card I did an ombre color stamping.  What do you think?

Remember you can get everything I used on this card on my website.  New Annual Inspiration Idea Books are here so contact me to find out how to get your FREE copy.

Sweet, Simple Beyond the Page

This is a simple little beyond the page project I created for Kaiser's Design Team.  The vintage feel of the Magnolia Grove collection just cries out to be distressed....so of course I had to do what it asked, LOL.

The sweet little flowers are made using Spellbinders Dies...they are so realistic.

Believe with Magnolia Grove

Vintage, vintage, vintage and I love it  This card highlights the Magnolia Grove collection from KaiserCraft.  I also used some of the new collage basic stamps from Kaiser and I adore them...they just rock.  Cheery Lynn dies were used for the die cuts and they are simply stunning.  So intricate, yet they cut like butter.  Love them!!!

Bye, bye Fan

This is a fan I decorated using the Rock Pool collection from Kasier and I love the way it turned out but here's the funny story behind it.  Cole my youngest loved the fan when I finished and asked if he could have it.  Of course I said yes but to let me just get some pictures of it for the blog.  Once I was done with the pictures I gave it to him.  Not even five minutes passed and I walked by Cole's room.   He was smiling and so proud, so I stopped and asked what he was up to.  He came running over and showed me how he had made my fan prettier with blue marker all over the seashells, seahorse and fan...Of course I had to grit my teeth and agree that he had made it 100% better.  So enjoy the pictures as the fan looks like this no more, LOL.

Castles in the Sand with Rock Pool

I sure do miss my youngest at this age.  I can't believe how fast he's growing up and I'm just treasuring each and everyday with my kids.  This was such a great day at the beach.  We didn't actually build any of the castles we just happened upon them on a walk but Cole took no ttime in making himself right at home.

The paper collection is stunning for your beach pictures.  It's called Rock Pool from KaiserCraft and I love the color combo.  I also used Cheery Lynn dies on the layout.

Forever

Today's layout is one I created for KaiserCrafts Design Team using the Charlotte's Dream collection. I wish the picture showed the background better, but I used Tim Holtz tissue tape, gesso paint and stencils creating a really great texture.

Love making those little clusters that draw your eye in to look and look and see what all is going on.  Fun in scrapping.

Sketch Challenge with KaiserCraft

Did you know KaiserCraft has a new sketch every week on Saturday.  In fact you can play along each week and at the end of the month they pick winners from all the monthly entries.  That means you could enter 4 times a month.  Plus there are yummy prizes, so what do you have to loose.

This is the May 12 Sketch using a mixture of the Magnolia Grove and the new Timeless Basics.  Bothy are beautiful and have a vintage feel, so they work great together.

This layout is of my great grandmother who was feisty, strong and quite a handful.  I can't imagine why some might think we are similar, LOL.  She really was priceless and so loved.  I hope I'm able to leave behind a legacy of love just like Maggie did.

Meet Rock Pool the latest collection from KaiserCraft.  It's great for the summer season that is right around the corner.  One of the things that really appeals to me about this collection is the color combo.  It's not your average beach palette, yet it really works together.  Cute yet sophisticated.

I loved making all the clusters of goodies on my Rock Pool projects.  Can think of a better place to hide some pearls...and yes I do so love pearls.  LOL

Magnolia Grove is Mother's Day Perfect

I know I say I love most of KaiserCraft's collections, but honestly it's true and Magnolia Grove is no exception.  The color combos are just so shabby and beautiful.  This is a photo of my sister Gini and my beautiful mother some years ago.  Funny how everything comes back in style like my Mom's hair.

I really like to take some of Kaiser's fancy printed papers and fussy cut them out to pop off the page like the blue flowers along the side.  They are actually part of the base page but with an xacto tool they can be so much more.

KaiserCraft has also just released some new ink pads and they are so wonderful.  They are very opaque and make for some rich color with stamping.

Kicking it off with Prickley Pear

Happy Monday everyone!  We are kicking of the week with Prickley Pear Design Team Monday.  This is a card I came up with PPRS and also the newest collection of Authentique.  I think there is a bit of an Asian flare, what do you think?

Of course you know I had to pop some butterflies on for an extra flight.  Have a great week and check back in as I'll be posting a lot of KaiserCraft goodies this week.

Prickley Pear Monday

Please scroll below to see todays Amazing Mold Putty Post

Happy Monday everyone...it's a Prickley Pear kind of day and I've got this tag to share with you today.  It actually was inspired by my art journal page I created.  Having the art journal lets me explore new technique that I might not try on project...but somehow on the art journal it's OK and it opens new door.
I covered the tag with some Tim Holtz distress tape and then painted with Gesso.  I then colored the base with various distress ink colors and flicked some water on the surface.   The tag was stamped with gelato paint sticks and also with some distress colored ink.

Then I just added the stamped birds from the mini birds clear stamp set and die.  It's so nice to be able to add small intricate little stamps that the die makes so easy to work with.

I hope you like my tag and I'd love to see everyone start an art journal for inspiration.  Hop on over to the PPRS blog and check out the rest of the design teams projects...BEAUTIFUL!!!

Oh Baby

I don't know about you but I'm so happy it's the start of the weekend today.  To kick off your creative juices for the weekend I've made this adorable BABY card using Scrapping Cottage dies.  The lamb is actually from their Easter collection but it's perfect for baby cards too.

He was so easy to create with the die...I cut and then lightly inked the edges with some distress ink ..THAT WAS IT and look how adorable he is.

Here is a complete list of dies and products used for this card:
