You Mean the World to Me

This is a card I made for the current Shabby Tea Room challenge.  It was a recipe challenge 2 designer papers, 4 buttons and 6 layers...and did I have fun with this.  The papers are from Webster's Pages and I love how unusual they are for a beach/ocean theme.  The flowers were made with Kraft cardstock, water and ink and of course four buttons, LOL.  I burned the edges of the map paper to give a worn aged look and then torn the kraft paper behind it to match.  Prima vines added a perfect touch behind my flowers and I used some hemp to add a little hand sewn stitching.  Lastly the sentiment if from JustRite Stampers and embossed..

I feel like I'm ready to head to Key West with a margarita in my hand with this card, LOL...that's a nice feeling.  Have a great weekend and see you next week.

Inka Gold Rocks!

So I was crusing through theI Heartfelt store the other day and saw this product...INKA GOLD.  Of course I was curious and had to get some.  This tag is the first project I completed using the Inka Gold and I love it.  It reminds me of the rub and buff metallics I use to use on things, years ago. 

The flower image was stamped, embossed and then rubbed down with the copper Inka Gold...it's cool isn't it?  If you love added different finishes to your projects, you should really check out INKA Gold.

Bit the Bullet

So I finally bit the bullet and ordered me some Waltzing Mouse Stamps.  I love them so but they were a wee bit pricey coming from England...but I've wanted some for so long.  Tonight I sat down and created a card using some of their stamps and did their sketch challenge with it.  I know this is going to be one of those sets you go to again and again and again.

I really have been working a lot lately but it's all been things for various design teams or SNR so I haven't been able to publish...but know there is some great stuff coming soon.
