Feel the Joy with Heartfelt Creations

This is a project I created for Heartfelt Creations using one of KaiserCrafts block words.  It was easy to cover with some of the Sparkling Poinsettia paper and it makes a great holiday hostess gift, teacher's gift or decoration for your house.  Of course I had to add some handmade poinsettia flowers on just to make it POP, along with some shimmering May Arts Ribbon.

I hope you all had a great weekend and I'll see you later in the week for more inpsirational fun.

Happy Crafting until then.

Be in the Limelight

Happy Monday everyone, I hope you're ready to start a great week.  Today I'm kicking things off with this step card I created using KaiserCraft's Limelight collection.  I really love the way this card turned out.  It's not my normal color palette I would love, but I really like it.

My Boy Frame with KaiserCraft

This cute little frame was one I made for KaiserCraft using the Limelight collection from March 2013.  I love the way the pop of color really comes out along the edge of the frame.  It's just a bit of color but it seems so balanced to me....just a little.

I hope you have a creative weekend of fun and I'll see you on Monday.

Paper, Flour, Sugar...Really????

Today's project is one that I dragged the kitchen into my work, LOL.  Really.  Did you know flour, sugar and water will make a homemade paper mache base for your projects.  I was able to create this 3-D bowl using a balloon and the paste along with some beautiful papers from KaiserCrafts Blubelle collection.

Once you've created the form you're happy with, be sure to do a final spray of some type of sealer/clear matte finish.

The Little Things Layout

This collection is one that compliments the greens of March for sure...Limelight from Kaisercraft is the latest collection for the month.  Butterflies, birds, flowers and time pieces make for a great eclectic mix.

This picture is one that I was able to capture at Disney's Wild Kingdom.  That is such a great park if you've never been.  I loved it.  I could have take the safari ride all day long...over and over...well you get the idea LOL.

I'll see you Wednesday with Heartfelt Creations post so be sure to pop back in.   Have a great start to your week.

Spring Bloom is one of KaiserCraft's collection releases from January and it's really a welcome collection with is spring colors and fun collectables.

I made this circle easel card which is always easy but gives a great POW!!!!

Everyday Moments Layout with KaiserCraft

I love this layout, this picture, really everything about this piece.  The collection I used is from KaiserCraft and I adore it...."Art of Life".  The colors make it that it just goes with everything, but I really think the sepia toned picture makes it PERFECT!!!!!!

The flowers are handmade using some of the designer paper.  I love the way they turned out and the center of the flowers are actually some of KaiserCrafts collectables that I domed with McGill's paper tools and adhered with foam tape.

I'll see you Wednesday with the weekly post for Heartfelt Creations...until then Happy Crafting.

Washi Tape Flowers Tutorial

Hello everyone, I'm excited to share a super simple tutorial with you today making washi tape/ printed tape flowers.  They are so easy...... here are the supplies you'll need to gather.

Step 1: Fold over the printed tape so both sides have the pattern.

Step 2: Cut strips into a pill shape, rounding off the ends.

Step 3: Ink the edges front and back of each petal

Step Four: pinch the centers together with tweezers for a crisp pinch.

Step Five: Twist where you have the pinch, but be careful not to rip your tape.  The pinch in the center actually helps the tape not to rip.

Step Six: Using glue does layer your petals up to create a flower.

Step Seven: Finish off your flower with either a paper bloom or even a sparklet.

Here’s a completed card that I used the latest collection “ Art of Life “ which blended beautifully with the printed tape flowers.

KaiserCraft supplies used: P1405 Printed Tape, F666 Black Paper Blooms, F661 Mini Black Paper Blooms, P1407 Loved,  Foam Tape

Other Products Used: glue dots, ink, card stock, tweezers

Laugh Kaisercraft Layout

With the holidays coming up next week the month is almost over...YIKES!!!! Where did 2013 go?  I can't think of a better way to show out the year than by winning KaiserCrafts monthly sketch challenge....

This is my take on one of our sketches this month for KasierCraft.  Sketches can really jump start your creative mojo and a great way top win some extra product.  Be sure to hop on over to KaiserCraft's Blog and see all the sketches so far this month and join in our fun...and best of luck.

I'll be taking a bit of time off next week, so you may only see one post for Heartfelt Creations and that's it.  I hope you are all blessed this Christmas and I'll see you next week and a lot more in 2014.

A Gift for Faith

I made this for a sweet little friend of mine...Faith.  She just turned 12 so I thought she might like this plaque for her room.  I created this with the paper collection " Tea Break" from KaiserCraft.  I also had a ton of help from Stencil Girl stencils....Love the way the finish came out with them.  You can see a closer view in the picture below.  Awesome texture.

Of course, I had to add in some of my handmade flowers.  I created them with designer paper, ink them up with some pigment ink and then topped them off with a button and sparklet.  Overall I think it turned out really pretty with a lot of little details going on .

Sparkle Me This

I thought I would wrap up the week with a layout I created for KaiserCraft using the Tea Break Collection.  I had this picture of the flamingos from the Animal Kingdom Disney Park and somehow they just seemed perfect for this collection.  Let me tell you, you might not be able to see it really good from the picture but man this layout twinkles.  I've added glitter to the flowers, leaves and also the fountain.  It's really pretty and sparkly.

Have a great creative weekend and I'll see you on Monday.

Mixed Media Mini Album

This is such a fun mini album I created for KasierCraft.  All the trinkets and ribbon hanging off gives it such interest.  The collection I used for this projects is Novembers release " Through the Looking Glass" and if you couldn't tell it was my favorite this month.

I inked my handmade flower and then painted it with Ice Resin for a waxy look.  I loved the way the ink bled just a bit when painted, it really adds to the grunge whimsical feel.

One more view of the flower as I really think it's the center piece of the project.  I'll see you on Wednesday with a Heartfelt project so until then.......:)

Life is? Layout

This layout was designed for KaiserCraft and one of their November Sketch Challenges.  Sometimes challenges are a great way to spark your creativity.  You have an outline to follow but still get to get those juices flowing.  Plus sometimes you might just win and lots of companies have prizes, like KaiserCraft.  They actually give a whole collection away that is valued at over $75, so it's fun and it can really bulk up your supplies.  Be sure to check out challenges, they're a lot of fun.

This paper collection is from the Through the Looking Glass collection that was just released this month.  It's truly lovely.  See you next week and have a great weekend.

Go Find Alice

I adore the latest collection from KaiserCraft " Through the Looking Glass ".  I just happened to have a picture of my youngest with Alice at Disneyworld and the colors were perfect with the combo on the paper collection.

Both of the tags on the sides of the pictures hold hidden journaling.  I love to add hidden things to my work.  Something about it makes it so personal and special.

See you on Friday with some more great projects.  Have a great hump day.
