Make your card POP with Crafter's Companion

Yes I confess, I love Day of the Dead.  The idea of honoring those that have passed is so sweet to me and I adore all the colors and festivity of the holiday.  Crafter's Companion has released a Day of the Dead collection and it's super cool.

Here's a card I created using the Sugar Skull as the main focus, but really the star of the show is the flower on the skulls head.  It's from the same collection but the Floral Fiesta...isn't it so beautiful and big.

Here is a complete list of project used on this card:

Here's a tip"  adding for dimensional item to your card can really make it POP.  The flower steals the show on this card and it too was just a stamp image that I molded to get the 3-D effect and WOW!!!

A Little Sparkle for After Christmas

Sparkle is exactly what you'll get with the new Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens.  They can be used like watercolor pens and that's how I used them on this card.  I love the effects you can get with these pens.

It was a Pampered Weekend with Crafters Companion

After a long holiday weekend this is exactly how I feel...pampered.  I'm sure I won't be feeling that way in the morning when the work week begins again and I'm up at the crack of dawn to take my little boy to school...but for now.

I created this card using the Spectrum Noir new sparkle markers and OMGOSH...they are wonderful.  I had so much fun coloring with them.   I had colored the base with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and then colored over selected portions with the sparkle markers.  The only thing I need to get down is the photography of the sparkle so you can see it better from home.

Here's a list of all the Crafter's Companion goodies I used to create the circle easel card.

Coloring is good for you!! Heartfelt Creations

So studies have found that coloring is actually good for you.  It's a great way for adults to combat stress and it's certainly not just for kids anymore.  Today's project is one that I found myself lost in the coloring and instead of feeling tired after I made it I felt calm and ready to create some more.

I used Spectrum Noir markers on the coloring and you can see a complete list of all the dies and stamps I used but also all the color of markers used to create this beauty.  Just hop over to Heartfelt Creations blog and check it out.

Italiana Riviera Collection from Heartfelt Creations is here

It's time to slow down the daily pace, take a deep breath and embrace life with the new Heartfelt Creations Italiana Riviera Collection.  We invite you to stroll down the Italian coastline taking in the spectacular seaside views, open markets, and amazing architecture while allowing yourself to relax and get lost in an easy going way of life.  Feel the gentle breeze, breathe in the aromas of salty mist and mouthwatering eats as you pass by a harbor lined with delightful cafes and quaint little shops calling out to you to pause for a visit. Step through towering stone gates to meander through perfectly manicured vineyards boasting rows and rows of coiling vines filled with dense foliage and  plump clusters of exquisitely purple hued grapes.  Then as the sun sets, continue to take in the old world charm and beauty of the area as you relax in your villa, enjoying a glass of fine wine aged to perfection while jotting down all of the days wonderful adventures on an old fashioned postcard, pausing occasionally only to peer out the old stone window that reveals the most surreal view of lush gardens, stately mountains, beautiful flowers and that perfectly manicured vineyard.  At Heartfelt Creations we dismiss the misconceived notion that you are required to leave your craft room to experience the finer things in life...so come along with us as we invite you to explore the charm and elegance of the Italiana Riviera Collection!

More Fancy-Edgeables from Crafter's Companion

I'm so in love with the De'sire Edge'ables from Crafter's Companion.  They are just stunning anyway you use them.  This is a fold card I created and then stamped and colored the interior.  Here are several more pictures to give you a better feel.

Of course I had to use some May Arts Ribbon to make it just a little more special.  I think overall this card was a raging success.

Just as I promised....more Crafter's Companion

I told you I would be back today with another card I made for the new release from Crafter's Companion.  Now if you know anything about me, you'll know Poppies are one of my favorite flowers.  I had to create one of these beauties for the release.

Here's a full view of the card.  One of the things you might not notice but that I really liked is the shaded blue background.  I was able to achieve this with the Spectrum Noir markers.  They blend so great it makes coloring super easy.  Here's a complete list of the Crafter's Companion products I used on this card.

I'll see you this weekend with some yummy Graphic 45, so be sure to stop back by.

Until then...Happy Crafting
