Lia Griffith and May Arts ....What a Pair!!!!!
Today I'm going to share a cute and simple pinecone garland created with Ribbon Resource Ribbon and cuts from the Lia Griffith Cricut Cartridge. You’ll be decorating your home for fall in no time with this festive garland.
Step 1. Cut out five pinecone pieces using the Lia Griffith/Cricut cartridge
Step 2. Cut out 3-5 pine needle clusters from the Lia Griffith/Cricut cartridge
Step 3. Run the pine cone pieces through an embossing folder to add texture
Step 4. Slide the two pieces of a pinecone together to make 3-d and glue together. Do this on all five of the pinecones and let dry.
Step 5. Use a quilling tool roll the pine needles clusters and glue down.
Step 6. Curl each of the needles
Step 7. Cut out 1 ½ yards (or desired length) of faux burlap ribbon to be the base of your garland
Step 8. Using the Ivory Burlap String tie each of the pinecones onto the base ribbon
Step 9. Run some of the Ivory Burlap String through each of the pine needle clusters and tie them onto the base ribbon in-between each of the pinecones.
Step 10. Cut several strips of the faux burlap and cut off the wired edge. Fray the edges a bit of the ribbon. Create two bows with the faux ribbon with the wire still in. Use the cut wire from the previous cut and add into the back of the bow. This will let you attach the bows to each end of the garland. Take the frayed pieces of the ribbon and tie randomly on the garland to add some texture.
Step 11. Create a knotted loop on the end of the ribbon/garland to hang your decoration up.

Day of the Dead with Graphic 45
Today I have two things to share with you. The first is my Day of the Dead casket shadow box using Graphic 45's Rare Oddities Collection. You can find a complete list of products used on Graphic 45's blog.
The other thing I have to share with you is the newest tool in scrapbooking and if you're anything like me, you have to have all the tools. The Art-C Grove Tool by Momento. I used the tool for the ink distressing on this piece....check it out.
