Snowbird Sign
Merry Christmas Everyone!!!! Today I created a sign...now let me explain it just a bit. My Mother's big party each year is Christmas Eve and she always trys to have a little keepsake for everyone to take home. This year she has a beautiful little twig tree she spray painted silver and covered in glittery snowflake ornaments for everyone. However with it being the center piece people would never know to take one home with them...so I thought I would make a little sign to put in front tree.
I used the adorable HAPPY BIRD die from Scrapping Cottage. for this project. I've always looked at this die and have seen a sweet little bird singing in spring, but I love how he looks like a snowbird for my project today.....really a die you can use all year long.
I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Christmas and is able to spend it with family and friends. See soon!!!

Portrait of a Five Year Old Layout
This is to show you what happens when your five year old sneaks your camera out of your purse to take self portraits. I got so tickled when I down loaded pictures and discovered these beauties.
I used On The Move from KasierCraft for this layout. I'm not much for the graphic style, but I thought I would give it a whirl on this one. What do you think?

On the Move for Cole
This is a card I made for my youngest son, Cole. He had something at school that he needed a card and this is what I came up with. I used KaiserCraft's newest line " On the Move". With two little boys this is just the cutest paper for them.
I love the way I made the little smoke tail with the Baker's Twine. I just love the retro feel of this line...super cute.

Prickley Pear Rose Tutorial
Hi Everyone, I'm thrilled to be able to share this super simple tutorial with you today using Prickley Pear dies and stamps.
Step One: Cut Scalloped Circle Die
Step Two: Stamp both sides of the die with matching stamp set.
Step Three: Cut through the circle and cut center circle out leaving the outer rim only
Step Four: Curl around quilling tool tightly and then remove…let it open up some and bend back some of the filigree edges back around the outside for a finished rose. Glue to your project to set.

Last Minute Gift Idea
Are you needing a small little handmade gift for a teacher, hostess or friend? I have an easy gift that really doesn't take long at all to make but is so useful. A tissue box holder. You can pick up wooden tissue box covers at your local craft store for just a couple dollars and then the creative fun begins.
You can cover the box with just one sheet of designer paper...granted I used two but I just wanted the mixed up patterns and I love this collection for KaiserCraft Then just add a few die cuts and and your done. Of course you can go more detailed if you want but I figured you didn't want to much going on as you needed to be able to get to the tissue.
I used the beautiful Blossom Branch die from Scrapping Cottage. I did ink up the center and some of the edges with a little distress ink and then cupped the flowers with my McGill paper tool to lift them up. Easy Peasy...glued them down with some strong glue and topped them off with "of course" pearls. I do love me some pearls, LOL.
Have a great rest of the week

Pure Beauty Layout
Two things I adore...My beautiful mother (who is photographed here) and this new line from KaiserCraft "Sweet Nothings" It's just so beautiful.
Some of my flowers are the layout are handmade and some of them are Kaiser's paperblooms that have been topped of with a pearl brad.
I really liked the effect that the ripped paper gave this layout. I did do it very controlled with an Xacto tool, quilling tool and some distress ink. The vintage feel this techinque gives is just perfect.
I hope I've made you drool just a little over the Sweet Nothings collection...be sure to pick yours up today.
I also used a Cheery Lynn die, Polynesian Sails. With my handmade flowers this layout qualifies for Cheery Lynns Current Challenge: Handmade Flowers...

Merry Christmas from Heartfelt Creations
Something everyone loves to get is a gift card to their favorite store. I know stores have little cards you can put them in, but why not go the extra mile and make a little gift card wallet. They are so stinkin cute and honestly very easy to make. Please hop over to the Heartfelt Creations Blog and you can see the directions for this project.
I have to admit I'm in love with this collection from October Afternoon Paper...OMWord...it's adorable. The stamp sentiments and the holly are all from Heartfelt Creations. Kasier Mini Drawers
This is one of my Beyond the Page projects I did for Kaiser using the Madame Boutique Collection. The mini drawer/chest is perfect for holding all those little odds and ends...buttons, pins, paperclips, well you get the idea
KaiserCraft's beyond the page projects make it so easy to create really stunning gifts in no time at all.
Don't forget to decorate those backs...to me they are like a little secret..not something you know about right away.
See ya soon,
Hugs,
