Varying Heartfelt Flowers

Happy Wednesday everyone...with it being Wednesday you know it's Heartfelt Creations Day.  I actually have two projects to share with you today.

The first is a card I created.  The flowers were created using Heartfelt Botanical stamps, distressing and layering.  Also the stamped background shabby lace is heartfelt.  I used three distress ink colors of brown and varied the colors around the stamp to get the shading on the stamped image.

My second project is a covered clipboard I did using some of my Kaisercraft goodies and Heartfelt Creations stamps for the flowers and foliage.

The botanical stamps were used to created these flowers also using stamping an designer paper.  I didn't water distress them as I did in the first project and I wanted to show you the different looks one stamp can give.

Be sure to hop on over to Heartfelt's Blog and take a look at the rest of the design team and their creations...it's always a treat.

See ya tomorrow

If the Shoe Fits

Cheery Lynn Dies is having a design team call and I thought I would throw my hat or shoe into the mix, LOL.  I created this three dimensional shoe using Kaiser's new Miss Nelly's paper collection.  The colors are gorgeous...honestly I'd love to have a real pair of shoes just like this...I'd wear them all the time.

I used a bunch of dies on this project and I will say...for as intricate as the dies are..they pop out with ease.  This really was a fun project to do.

Here is a list of all th dies used :

Cathedral Lace Frame DL148 (Base of stand)
Sweet William D137 (flowers)
English Tea Party DL 101 (doily )
Lace Light Deco Border B133 ( edge of top/toe of shoe)
Cherry Blossom B129 (Flower)
Exotic Butterflies DL113
Fanciful Flourish B117

Movie Night

Hi Everyone. Well tonight was movie night for our household so I thought I would create this card to celebrate. Now I realize that some might not consider family movie night a celebration, but honestly I adore hanging out with my family so much...I DO!

I love the Popcorn / Cotton Candy Die. It's adorable and really can be used for so many different types of projects. On my popcorn bucket I inked the edges of the kernals with ink so they would stand out from each other. I also added some dimensional foam tape to some of the pieces of popcorn to add layers.

You can really see the 3-D effects from a side view. I also used the Ticket Booth die for the tickets/sentiment...super cute way to add a message.

So we enjoyed the movie...although we ended up having ice cream instead of popcorn, LOL...I hope you plan a special event for an ordinary day for your family and share some fun time together.

What's Your Take?

Over at the Beary Scrap the current challenge is a sketch.  Let me tell you, I'm am one of those girls who always follows the rules, so when I see a sketch it's hard for me to think outside of the box..meaning if it's in a square shape on the sketch...my project will be square. Sometimes I'll look at other challenges and see designers interpretations of them and think ....REALLY? but honestly I love there take and to see how they creatively saw it. I'm not sure what took over this week with me but I actually thought outside of the box on the sketch and this is my take of it. I can still see the base there and hope you can too, but man I love the shapes in this project.

I used Pink Paislee's Butterfly Garden collection for this card. With the clear butterfly stickers I made sure to bend up their wings to give the illusion of flight and to add more dimension. You know me...if it fits in an envelope it's not finished. LOL

Be sure to jump in the challenge yourself and show us what your take is of the current sketch. I can't wait to see. Until next time...have fun, crafts lots and do something nice for someone.

Handmade Flowers

I everyone I hope you're having a wonderful week.  I wanted to share one of my Heartfelt layouts with you this morning.  I created all the flowers by stamping, cutting and layering.  Nothing beats a handmade flower.  The paper is from the Blae and Ivy Collection from Kaisercraft.

I favorite color is orange and these just really pop off the page with the color combo.

Have a great week,

Little Toot Wall Plaque

Little Toot is another one of KaiserCraft new collections for July and it's perfect for little boys...so it was perfect for my household.  This is a wall plaque I created using the Little Toot paper, chipboard and new frame.  This really wasn't a hard project at all and though my little boys will end up with it, it really would have made a great baby or birthday gift.

SUMMER FUN!!!!

Hi Everybody. With the heat of the season in full gear it's hard not to think of summer fun. Outdoor parties, afternoon pinics and breezy nights at an amusement park. So Scrapping Cottage's  new carnival collection is so awesome, in fact I couldn't stop creating so I have two cards for you today.

My first card uses the Carousel Horse Die .  I used Mcgill paper bloom tools to curve the body out and make it 3-D then I added all of his detail.  The tickets from the Ticket Booth Die were perfect for adding sentiments

My second card I fell in love with the Airplane Ride Die. How stinkin cute is it?...LOVE IT!  The paper collection I used is from Echo Park / Country Drive where you can pick it up from The Beary Scrap. I also used one of the chipboards clouds from the Country Drive collection to mask for inked/sponged clouds in the background.  The sketch for this card is Beary Scrap's latest challenge...you need to jump in an particpate if you haven't already.

For the leaves of the rosette cluster I used the Orchid Flower Leaves and it really finished off the cluster perfect. The Carnival collection is just so much fun and I know you'll have fun playing with them yourself.

Hope you enjoyed my fun!!!

Oh The Places You Will Go

Today I have a KaiserCraft project I created using the Blae and Ivy Collection and the new Train Frame.  All I could think when I saw this frame was one of my son's favorite books by Dr. Seuss "Oh The Places You Will Go" .  It's a great book if you have never read it...adult or child.
The mountain backing of the frame has been stamped with Kaiser's new font stamps...and it says " You will succeed, yes you will indeed. 98 and 3/4 percent guarantee"  Which is one of the final quotes in the book and for sure my favorite.
This is going to go in my boys new bedroom and the colors are just going to be perfect.

First Day of School!

I can't believe my youngest has actually started school...GOOD GRIEF! He is growing like a weed right before my eyes.  This layout is of his first day of school and of course we had to include Brutus his favorite stuffed doggie.
The collection is from KaiserCraft's Blae and Ivy..which I adore.  Plus you guys all know how much I love their pearls and no layout would be complete without some thrown in.

Their paper bloom flowers are totally yummy too! I have to admit Kaiser's collections are wonderful because they have everything you could need to create...matching tags, stamps, paper, stickers, chipboard, rubons...you name it.  So any project you can come up with is complete.  It's great!!!
