Graphic 45 Design Team 2013 Audition

Warning: This is a long post, but one chocked full of creative inspiration.  I was thrilled to see the announcement for Graphic 45's design team.  I only try out for design teams that I adore and Graphic 45 is certainly one I love.  Heck I buy everyone of their collections when they come out so that must say something.  So here is my hat officially thrown in the ring...I hope you enjoy my projects, they are a mix of collections, times and pieces.

Remember You are Loved

Everybody loves to be reminded they are loved.  This is a small wall plaque I created using KasierCraft's Suga Pop Collection that will remind anyone that yeap...they're loved.  

I used some of KaiserCraft's beautiful flowers nestled in with some handmade flowers using Cheery Lynn Dies.  The cluster is just wonderful all mixed together. 

The rhinestone letters were white and I colored them with copics...that's a great way to blend any of your embellishments.  

Secret Garden Charm

Hi Everyone,  I hope you're week has been wonderful.  Today I'm excited to share a layout I created for Cheery Lynn Designs.  This is an older picture of my beautiful mother years ago and it couldn't have blended any better into the layout.  She literally looks like she nestled down in her own secret garden.  The flower are all handmade using the Daisy Strip and the Build a Flower Embellishment #2.

Be Unique Easel Card

This is just one of those cards...I LOVE.  The collection is Base Coat from KaiserCraft and well, I think it's speaks for itself...it's just plain cool.  

The flowers were created using Cheery Lynn dies. They look so great mixed up in the corner. 

More Than Just an Easel Card

Hello everyone, I'm so pleased to be able to bring you my Cheery Lynn Designs project for this week, I hope you enjoy it as much as I loved creating it. 

I adore making easel cards.  They are so easy but really make your cards works of art...so when I saw this easel card that had four mini drawers on the bottom., I had to give it a whirl.  It was actually fairly simple to create too, just a bit more time.  I will say my Cheery Lynn dies took it to a WOW stage, as they always do. 

My flower was created using the Build A Flower 3.  One of the things I love about the flower dies are they even impress the  realistic veins on the petals to help add to the illusion of a real flower....LOVE IT!!!  I shaded the petals with ink prior to assembly to give the color variation. I had to add the adorable lady bug from the Tiny Things with Wings Dies...I think he looks just perfect sitting on the leaf.

Smile Back Card - Flora Delight

I'm always up for trying different shaped cards, so this is the first one of these I've done...not sure what they call this type of card, but it's really fun.  The collection is of course from KaiserCraft, Flora Delight.  I made the purple flowers by hand using Cheery Lynn Dies.  Take a look a the photos below to get a good feel for the card.

I Love You Layout

I love to watch my little one run along the shoreline at the beach.  It's such an innocent freedom.  I created this layout of him running from KaiserCraft's Suga Pop Collection.  It is actually a girly collection but I thought it worked great with this picture of my little boy.

Addicted to Cheery Lynn

During the making of this card it came to my attention...I'm addicted to Cheery Lynn Dies.  Actually I think I already knew it but I'm coming clean to the world.  Darn if they aren't just wonderful.  Everything on this card used a Cheery Lynn Die and if I could have squeezed a couple more on there, I think I would have, LOL.  All of the flowers were handmade and woven throughout the chicken wire.  I really wish everyone could see this one in person, because I really love the final outcome.

Beach Memories Layout

This layout was created with KaiserCraft's 75 Cent Collection...and I think you can see why I adore it.  It's so darn cool.  The base paper was stamped with some of Kasier's latest background stamps and they give some a great layer to your layouts.

Explosion Box 

Supply List: Scor-Pal, Scor-Tape, Fancy Pants Designs Hopscotch Collection, Card Stock, Cheery Lynn Dies, Prima Flowers, KasierCraft Flowers, Stickles, Ink, Tags, Ribbon, Stamps

 I don't know about you but I've always wanted to try an explosion box but I really thought they were to difficult.  Funny how wrong one can be.  This was actually pretty darn easy and so much fun to make.  I'd love to show you how and hope you'll create your own little explosion.

Step 1: Cut two 9 inch card stock squares,  cut one 5 1/8" square card stock.  Cut four 2 7/8" square designer paper, cut 8 2 3/4  square designer papers for interior

Step 2: Score one of your 9 inch squares at 3" and 6 ", turn your paper 90 degrees and score again at 3 " and 9".  This will create a grid.  You'll want to do this on both of your 9 inch card stock squares.

Step 3: Score each of your corner squares diagonally and fold.  Fold inward as this is going to help create your box.  TIP: I find using the 6" mark on my Scor-pal makes this easy as there is a marking at the bottom of your Scor-pal that will help ensure you have it lined up correctly. 

Step 4: Using your Scor-tape apply your outside squares ( 2 7/8" ) to the base box.

Step 5: Cut four of your 2 3/4 squares in half and tape to inside of your explosion box along the ridges.

Step 6:  On your second 9 inch square cardstock cut the outer corner squares off as shown above.  Fold and crease.

Step 7: Tape your remaining square card stock pieces to the just cut cross/9 inch piece.  You can also decorate the base center with designer card too.

Step 8: Score your 5 1/8" square at 1 inch on all sides. Cut a slit in where all the black marks are shown above.  Fold and crease.

Step 9: Tape your flaps to the inside of the box top creating your top.  Now the really fun part decorate as desired.
