Many Thanks with JustRite and Simple Stories

I love to participate in JustRite Stamps Challenges...they always bring out some of my best cards.  Tonight I created this Thank You card using JustRite and Simple Stories Paper and followed JustRite current sketch challenge.

I really try on all of my project to have lots of small details that really make a work of art come together .  At first glance you might not notice everything but with a second look all the details start to pop.  On this card I've stitched , ink, embossed, layered, curled,  folded, tied, fussy cut, punched and of course pearled and I've probably left something off, LOL.

The Birds the Word

One thing this is really trendy right now is birdcages/birds.  KaiserCraft collection " Hummingbird " certainly has plenty for you.

I really love all the bright colors that this collection has mixed in together. It's a bunch but they work really well together.  Kaiser's stickers and collectibles die cuts make putting a layered project together so easy.

Have a great day.

Heartfelt Creations Wednesday

I adore the newest collection from Heartfelt, it's just so pretty. This is a card I created with the Floral Cross Collection.  You can go to Heartfelt's Blog and see the complete directions for this project and many more.

Heartfelt has also posted their latest DESIGN TEAM CALL.  You can see all the details on the blog.  I know this has been a team I have really enjoyed over the past year and would encourage anyone who loves their products to give it a try.  They are wonderful to work with.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day love birds.  I made this sweet gift card holder that would be perfect for a Valentines gift.  Let's take a closer look...

I love the way in this picture you can really see the detail. The birds wings pop up and add such great dimension.  My DIY Xyron foam tape helps me get the perfect lift.  Also working with small detailed die cuts, Xyron's sticker maker helps to get everything in the perfect place.

The back of the holder is attached with a heart key that was stamped and embossed and is held down with a small piece of twine.

I wish you lots of love today and for the rest of the year.

Prickley Pear Blog Hop

Welcome to Prickley Pear’s release of new clear stamp sets and coordinated dies.
To celebrate this new release we are having a three day long Blog Party with loads of inspirations by the Design Team and a give away! One happy participant will win a $ 20 gift certificate to the web shop. All you have to do is leave a comment on each of the participating blogs and tell us what you think about the new release. Last day to enter is Monday 13th midnight EST. The winner will be drawn randomly at one of the participating blogs, one of the days and will be presented on the Prickley Pear Blog on Tuesday.
I used the Mini Birds and the Mini Butterflies for this card.  I really was striving for a simple card but wanted to do something a little different, so I have the hummingbird suspended in mid air over the top of the layered flower.
I cut a thin strip of acetate cardstock and curled it, then glue it to the back of the flower and then the back of the hummingbird...thus the illusion of flight.

Your next hop is GINI

Hope you’ve enjoyed the last day of our three-day blog party! Be sure to stop back by the Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps Tuesday when they announce the winner.  Here’s a list of the hop so you'll be sure to have visited everyone.

Fun Layout with Hummingbird

I love this collection from KaiserCraft...it's so bright and cheery.  The picture was one I snapped last year of my little one.  We were at a family reunion and he was run, run, run all day, but once when he stopped to rest I was able to capture this photo.

Tip: remember to journal on your layouts...but be creative with it.  Little notes tucked in places, journal tags, or even straight on the layout like I did to outline the photo.

Have a happy Friday and I'll have a Unity Card for you later this afternoon...

Prickley Pear Monday

Wow it's Monday again...time just seems to fly by lately.  Today it's Prickley Pear day and I have a sneak peek stamp set for you.  It's not quite available but I wanted to wet your whistle for what's coming down the pike for you over at PPRS.  The stamp is a background stamp and I wanted to highlight how cute it is used as a background but how you could also show it as a single image.

I just cut two of the owls out of the background stamp to create the focal embellishment.  I also had to use one of my favorite dies from Prickley Pear...Scalloped Circle.  I do love love it!

Now you need to head over to the PPRS blog and check out the rest of the design team's work...I know it's going to inspire you.

Have a great week and I'll see you soon.

Hugs,
