Big Picture Challenge

I started a new online journey this week...Nic Howard is teaching a class through Big Picture.  Nic's work is something to certainly aspire to and I'm already learning so much.  Little things make such a huge difference.

This week we had a challenge...and this is my take on the challenge.  A quick 8 1/2 x 11 inch layout.  First this was the first time I had ever done this size and I really enjoyed it.  Sort of a cross between a card and a layout...fun!  We were also to use scraps of that were lying around from a recent project...so of course I used my Miss Match collection from Kaiser.  I will admit it probably took me a bit longer on this quick challenge than it was suppose to, but honestly it was the embellishments that got me.

I'm not sure if there is time to sign up for Nic's Class or not, but if so I would really encourage you to sign up and grow.

Friends Frame

This collection is from July's KaiserCraft release " Miss Match".  It's so much fun, crazy papers that you would never think to put together and yet once they are all together they are such a fit.

I love the way the wooden flourish leaves turned out.  I just used a lace stamp from KaiserCraft and stamped in brown ink on the leaves...what a great vintage feel it gave the leaves.  The flowers were all handmade and topped off with yeap, you got it PEARLS!!!!

Today I have a mini album I created using KaiserCrafts latest collection...ATTITUDE!!!!  Honestly this collection is so cool and fun to create with.  Doesn't it just make you want to splatter some paint?

Prickley Pear Monday

Happy Monday everyone...Hope you all had a crafty good weekend.  I've got several cards to share with you today all using Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.   The first card highlights the Lily of the Valley stamp.  I used my Tim Holtz Distress Markers to color in the various images.  I have to say I LOVE my distress markers for stamping...wonderful.

My second card is also colored using my distress markers.  You can really see all colorful stamping you can achieve with the distress markers on this stamp.  

If nothing else this card is colorful.

Where have you been?

You probably are asking that very question....Where have you been?  It's been several weeks since I posted and that is just not like me.  I've been busy with summer, kids and CHA projects, but will get back on track now...promise.

Today I have a layout I created with KaiserCraft's latest collection, Attitude.  It's so perfect for tweens/teenagers or anything.  I love the way I was able to doctor my photo on photofunia and make it a perfect graffiti fit for the layout.

Don't be afraid to throw a little paint or crumble some paper to achieve the look your going for.  It's actually a lot a of fun.

Sweet, Simple Beyond the Page

This is a simple little beyond the page project I created for Kaiser's Design Team.  The vintage feel of the Magnolia Grove collection just cries out to be distressed....so of course I had to do what it asked, LOL.

The sweet little flowers are made using Spellbinders Dies...they are so realistic.  

Prickley Pear Coming Your Way

Today I have a Prickley Pear creation to share with you.  I love using their delicate dies, they just add a great elegant touch.  Of course adding pearls never hurts either.

Believe with Magnolia Grove

Vintage, vintage, vintage and I love it  This card highlights the Magnolia Grove collection from KaiserCraft.  I also used some of the new collage basic stamps from Kaiser and I adore them...they just rock.  Cheery Lynn dies were used for the die cuts and they are simply stunning.  So intricate, yet they cut like butter.  Love them!!!
