My Boy Frame with KaiserCraft

This cute little frame was one I made for KaiserCraft using the Limelight collection from March 2013.  I love the way the pop of color really comes out along the edge of the frame.  It's just a bit of color but it seems so balanced to me....just a little.

I hope you have a creative weekend of fun and I'll see you on Monday.

A Time to Remember Layout with Heartfelt Creations

Today's Heartfelt Creations layout is using the latest collection, Once Upon a Time.  This is a picture of me as a little girl with my Great Grandmother, whom I adored.  The older I get the more I cherish little pictures snaps like this...it's priceless to me.

Clustering is a key in layouts to add interest and depth to your projects.

The vintage feel of Heartfelt blends perfectly with the look of the picture.  If you would like complete directions for creating this layout or the flowers be sure to hop over to Heartfelt Creations Blog and check it out.

Paper, Flour, Sugar...Really????

Today's project is one that I dragged the kitchen into my work, LOL.  Really.  Did you know flour, sugar and water will make a homemade paper mache base for your projects.  I was able to create this 3-D bowl using a balloon and the paste along with some beautiful papers from KaiserCrafts Blubelle collection.

Once you've created the form you're happy with, be sure to do a final spray of some type of sealer/clear matte finish.

Should have been Xyron .....but now it is / Barn Star Tutorial.

This whole week Xyron has been featuring projects that should have been made with Xyron but weren't.  We want to show you how easy Xyron could and will make these projects....here is a picture and link to the project that inspired my beach themed star.

http://www.pinterest.com/pin/74872412526558188/

Today I've got a tutorial for you that your Xyron products are going to help make super simple.  Create a 3-D star adorned with your favorite motif.  On my star I used Graphic 45's latest collection " By the Sea" and finished it off with cut outs of seashells and rosettes.  Perfect for the beach house  So what to see how simple it is????? Take a peek.

Step one: pick up a plain 3-D star at your local craft shop.  Use a piece of copier paper and lay over the star.  Using your bone folder, crease the outline of the star shape.  This is going to create a template for you to use.

Step Two: Cut your shape out of the paper and then use as template on your designer card stock  I drew in pencil around my shape.  Cut out the pattern and do this on five different patterned paper.

Step 3: Pronounce your center crease with a bone folder for a crisp edge.

Step 4: Run through your 5" Creative Station, then attach onto your star.

Step 5: Finish off all five of your shoots on the star as shown and then top with whatever embellishments you would like.  Take a look at my finish star close up....

The Little Things Layout

This collection is one that compliments the greens of March for sure...Limelight from Kaisercraft is the latest collection for the month.  Butterflies, birds, flowers and time pieces make for a great eclectic mix.

This picture is one that I was able to capture at Disney's Wild Kingdom.  That is such a great park if you've never been.  I loved it.  I could have take the safari ride all day long...over and over...well you get the idea LOL.

I'll see you Wednesday with Heartfelt Creations post so be sure to pop back in.   Have a great start to your week.

Sneak Peek of New Anna Griffin Release with Xyron

I'm so excited to be sharing a sneak peek of some of Anna Griffin's latest collections that will be airing on 24 hours of Crafts on HSN, March 24th.  Xyron and Anna Griffin have joined forces and over the next week you can find all kinds of sneak peeks through Xyron's Blog.  Be sure to tune into HSN on the 24th where of course Beth Kingston will be featuring Xyron and Anna Griffin will be offering all her new collections...and they are beautiful.

Anna Griffins has some beautifully detailed die cuts and they go hand in hand with the Teresa Collins Xyron Foam Squares.  Together they really can make your cards pop.  The die cuts also work wonderfully with the Xyron Creative Stations and making them into stickers.  Really the two are made for each other.

Here are all the Xyron goodies I used to create this masculine easel card.

Graphic 45 Design Team 2014 Audition

It's that time of the year again where I'll throw my hat in for the Graphic 45 Design Team Audition.  Every year it seems the process gets a bit easier as I really do love Graphic 45 and I use it often so projects aren't hard to show using their goodies.  Each of the projects will highlight the Graphic 45 collection used but I won't go into any other details as it's long enough with all the pictures, LOL.

Have a great weekend and fingers crossed that I'll make the first round....
