I'm thrilled to be able to share this adorable fall treat box made from the DCWV Autumn Melody paper pack. This is such an easy box and it would be great at each place setting for Thanksgiving dinner. I ran across this tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers (Click Here) , so feel free to check out the original tutorial for more inspiration and I hope you enjoy my take.
Cut 4 x 9 1/2 piece of designer cardstock using your Scor-Pal, score long ways at 1" and 3" I've added black lines on my picture to show you.
turn paper on it's side and score at 1", 3", 4", 6", 7" and 9".
Cut corner rectangles away as shown leaving the core middle of the box.
cut slits into scored line as shown in the circle.
On the end with the score at 1/2 inch, mark in one half inch on each side and cut away leaving a tab.
This shows the tab
On the side flaps cut at an angle on all sides as shown in the picture above.
Cut a one inch slit in the 3 inch score as shown with an Xacto tool. This is going to make the slot for your tab to slide into and help close the lid of the box.
Cut a window out using a punch or Die Cut. I've used Spellbinders for ease on mine.
Lay Scor-Pal adhesive around the interior of the frame cut out and apply a square of sheet acetate to the window. If you don't have acetate sheets you can always use discarded packaging from things like spellbinders or other packing items.
Apply tape to all the angled tabs and fold your box at all the score lines to assemble your box.
I added an interior lining to the inside of my box. This is really simple. Cut a 4 x 4 square sheet of cardstock and score 1 inch all the way around as shown above.
Cut away your outer corners. Fold and your ready to adhere it with tape to the interior of your box.
This is an interior shot of the inside of the box...ready to fill with special small treat.
