CTMH Fairytale ....New Video. HELP ME WIN!!!!!

Come join me for a Close To My Heart Fairytale.... this is a great new contest that Close To My Heart is sponsoring for their Independent Consultants. It's a short little video that highlights why My Acrylix stamps are "Clearly the Best" . I can't tell you how much harder this little short three minute video was than the normal 10 minutes ones I do...fast, fast, fast and lots of editing. The video that has the most views wins so please be sure to watch, forward on to your friends and tell everyone you know as I would love to see PINKCLOUDSCRAPPERS fairytale win! Every view/watch counts so please help me out and let me know what you think.
OH and I can't forget credits....Thanks so much to my wonderful sister Gini who has made many of my wishes in life come true...She's the best. I wish I could share some of the outtakes for the filming...all I can say is it was hilarious!

New Video and First Card Challenge

Please note this entry will remain at the top until 1-31 due to the challenge..

Well I'm thrilled to be bringing you several firsts.

My first video for 2010 with an exciting stamping technique for everyone to try. My good friends over at Paper Craft Mania got this video first exclusively...but I have now added it to my website to also view. You'll love Paper Crafting Mania as it's a great new place to chat with other paper crafters.

Also with this video is Pinkcloudscrappers first challenge. Here's all the details. You must use the technique that is taught in the video with re-inkers. You can make anything you want and can enter multiple times and on multiple challenges. The cut off for the challenge is 1-31-2010 11pm EST. At the end of the challenge the best card will be chosen and they'll receive a FREE Close To My Heart Stamp set from me. It is not required that you use a Close To My Heart stamp for the challenge, but I sure do love to see them. Once you complete your artwork please use the Mister Linky to connect your card to the challenge. Please let me know if you have any questions...AND LET THE CHALLENGE BEGIN and enjoy watching.

Welcome to the Sassy Rockin Blog Hop

I'm so thrilled to be participating with the Sassy Studios Rockin Customer Blog Hop. I love Sassy's images as they really lend themselves to coloring and just giving that rocking edge to some of my projects. There are four different categories for the entries ...so here are mine and I hope you enjoy them all.

My first entry is for the color combo challenge...this one was a bit hard for me because I think all colors go together...so my combo is Purple, Red and Green with a hint of gold. I hope this is a combo you don't normally think of. This adorable surfer girl card was just perfect with the CTMH Moon Doggie paper.

My next entry is for the Gifted Sistah...Making something that would be perfect for a gift. This picture frame is one you can pick up at Walmart for buck and yet turn it into something so personalized for someone you love...I figured I would take a picture of me and give it to my husband. Hopefully he'll prefer the picture of me, but I do have some stiff competition with this hot little Sassy HunnyBunny.

My third entry is for the Altered Sista... I created this Rockin Box with a cardboard box that I picked up at Hobby Lobby for a couple dollars and then painted it with Create a Shade and reinkers from Close To My Heart, The CTMH Day Dream paper pack and sparkes. Then my Sassy rocker chick completes the whole girly box. I love this one.

One more to go.............................................

My last entry is for the Rockin Layout...At first I wasn't sure which image to use as most of my pictures are of my little boys and then when I saw this retro 50's looking Sassy Girl I knew she would be perfect on a layout I'd been wanting to do of the drive in at Beaufort SC . If you ever are in the Beaufort area take your family to Highway 21 Drive in. It's such a great thing to do and unfortunately there are so few drive ins left.

Now hop back over to the Sassy Studio Design Page and check out some other artwork customers have taken their time and talent to do.

Puppy Love Card

I love, love, love this card. As many of you know, I'm not really fond of my work when I first finish it. I have to let it grow on me, before I choose to like something or not, but this card is the exception. I love it. I really had a ton of detail work and care that went into it, so I suppose that is one reason why I love it so. I stamped the title and cut it out...and of course use some foam tape to really make it pop. Distressed the edges to give that finished look. Use spellbinders to add lots of layers. Chipboard for the homemade heart flowers and sentiment. It really just has a ton of little detail work and I think it shows in the finished project. So let me know what you think.
Here is a listing of all the challenges I was able to qualify for with this sweet puppy love card.
Motivet : Stamp and Sketch
Copic Colour Challenge: Pink, Green and Blue

PaperTake Weekley : New Beginning ( it's a brand new stamp set from Motivet)

Crafty Catz : Bright and Sparkly

How Darn Cute Is This!

I did this card for several challenges this week and challenge me it did. The first was for the Motivet Blog Challenge. I'd never attempted fur before with my Copics and I can't say I've mastered it, but once I did a little learning it wasn't half bad the finished result. The other challenge was for the Colour Create Challenge and this was the one that really pushed me. It was to use lemon and lime colors...two colors I never mix together. Granted they go very well, it's just generally not my mix. I'm not one of those artist who can tell you what something is going to look like in my head...I work with it as it progresses so this is one card I hated when I first started it, but once I gave it a little love it truly has become one of my favorites. It's such a fresh look waiting for spring and I really was pleased with the finished results. I hope you enjoy also and remember to really push yourself also.

I think she's my alter Ego

I had such fun coloring this image from Sassy Studios. I can't tell you why I saw her with streaks of electric blue hair and fish net hose on, but I did. I think this must be some secret alter ego I would like to have...as I'm really a true "goober" as my friend Tanya likes to say. I did this card for the Sassy Studio Challenge this week. It's suppose to be a representation of what I did on New Year's Eve...so, does this card show that? NO...... Not really, I at least stayed up till midnight to kiss my hubbie and then I think I was asleep by 12:01...I'm really a bore. But in my dreams I was this bombshell that rocked the house...so I figured this was a lot more exciting.

Ushering in the new year is the new Spring 2010 Close To My Heart Idea Book, and boy is it awesome. Leave it to Close To My Heart to be the leader in what is hot in the scrapbooking/cardmaking world. Edgy pages and stamps in the "You Rock" kit....beautiful birds and flowers in the Veranda collection, birdcages, umbrellas and other cuties...just to wet your appetite. You can always click the idea book on the right had side of the page to view the Idea Book online, but even better...contact me and we'll arrange to get you a hard copy out in the mail. Trust me there is nothing like drooling over the real thing every night before you go to sleep. If I sound as if I just might do this myself...you'd be right! So be sure to shoot me an email lorileng@bellsouth.net if you need to get your copy of the Spring 2010 idea book. OH and don't forget this month with all the new items you can also take advantage of the Felicity kit that is still going on ...FREE with any $60 stamp purchase or $120 any order....it's a $35 value so well worth taking advantage of that one.
This months workshop is the "You Rock" kit. This is a great value where you get an exclusive stamp set that coordinates with the You Rock, mini medley metal accent collection in the color denim and also a complete workshop guide that shows cards and layouts. You will have enough in your kit to be able to do it and still keep going. The kit is a discounted price of $29.95 and I'll be doing a live workshop in my area for any of you who are interested, please contact me. Don't live close but wish you could come...don't worry with the complete color guide you'll be able to join in the fun long distance, but you can only get this kit through me, not my website, so contact me via email if you would like to participate. There are some additional add on that go with this kit per your choice: Top Coats "Rockin" (really suggest you add these on...they make the artwork) $4.95, Bitty Sparkles $2.95 which are tiny little sparkles that add just that hint of shine and white hemp...always a staple.$2.25. So take just the basic kit or add it all on for a ton of fun.

Now that the holidays are starting to settle down and basically go away, whew...also stay tuned for new 2010 videos featuring some of our wonderful new products. Look forward to hearing from you all.....Go Create and Inspire, Hugs Lori

Last Cheer for the Holidays

I almost forgot to put this project on my blog. This is some advent garland I created using my handy dandy cricut. Each day is a little box that would hold a small little trinket of candy or such. I've had it hanging on one of my trees throughout the season and thought I really should snap a picture and share it with everyone. Scrappy Frog has a great challenge going on right now that I this fit perfect for, so head over and check out their blog.
