Create a swing easel card: Graphic 45 Tutorial

Want to learn to create a swing easel card?  Well then today's your day.  I've got a step by step tutorial over on Snapguide that will walk you through how to create this card...and then you can adorn it with your favorite Graphic 45 collection.

Here's the tutorial

I've used the classic collection CityScapes from Graphic 45 and it's really a sharp collection.  The flowers were created by hand so I could get the right look.

As my term draws to an end please take a moment and stop by the Graphic 45 blog and leave some love, or better yet, leave some here and there.

Have a great week.

All Time Favorite from Heartfelt Creations

I can't tell you how much I adore this collection.  I've talked about it in classes and events letting everyone know my favorite all time collection was going to be released in May...and now the day has come.

WELCOME

UNDER THE SEA

FROM HEARTFELT CREATIONS

Yum, yum, yummy!!!!  Let me paint a picture of the release for you

Take a walk along the edge of the deep blue sea, feel the warm sand between your toes and breathe in the salty air.  Balmy breezes tousle your hair and toy with the exotic hibiscus flower behind your ear as you stoop to snatch a lustrous seashell that has been swept onto the beach with the incoming tide. Cares and worries melt away because life really is better at the seaside.  The cool, crystal clear water lapping at the shoreline beckons you and you cannot resist the sudden urge to dive right in.  Before you know it you have been submerged into a magical underwater world where you find yourself settling on a jagged reef surrounded with burnished coral, glassy seashells and mystical sea creatures more beautiful than your imagination could ever conjure.  A peek behind the coral and waltzing seaweed finds you nose to nose with a school of fish gliding every so gently with their long, graceful flowing tails and glistening scales decorated with an abundance of shimmering and alluring colors.  Delicate sea horses and magnificent jelly fish dart and flit among the dancing aquatic plant life as to entertain you with a glorious underwater show being performed just for you.  Welcome to “Under the Sea”, the newest collection by Heartfelt Creations.  This water themed assembling of magnificent papers, stamps and dies will have you creating ravishing underwater scenes perfect for documenting your seaside vacations, ocean themed altered art pieces or salt water card creations.   The tranquil color palette of calming blues, greens and teals, paired with golden yellows, subtle shades of pinks, purples, corals and reds are sure to soothe your soul.  Creating projects with a tropical flair that will “make a splash” has been made simple with decorative papers boasting mesmerizing patterns of sea shells, florals, delicate swirls and alluring hibiscus blossoms.  The intricate, detailed stamp illustrations of underwater sea creatures, glistening seashells, and exotic hibiscus flowers are sublime for shaping and creating dimensional elements adding a realistic touch to any underwater themed paper craft design.  We invite you to take the plunge and come along with us on an underwater adventure as we explore Under the Sea!

I can't believe it almost over with Graphic 45

Wow where have the last two years gone?  I can't believe I've had the privilege of designing for Graphic 45 for two years and this month my term is ending.  It has truly been my pleasure to get the honor of experiencing this journey with G45.  During my term one of my favorite items has been the metal staples...love me some metal.   Today's shadow box uses an all time favorite paper collection of mine Botanicalbella and then some of the metal staples I love.  Please be sure to stop by G45's blog today and see some more favorites from Design Team Members.

Make your card POP with Crafter's Companion

Yes I confess, I love Day of the Dead.  The idea of honoring those that have passed is so sweet to me and I adore all the colors and festivity of the holiday.  Crafter's Companion has released a Day of the Dead collection and it's super cool.

Here's a card I created using the Sugar Skull as the main focus, but really the star of the show is the flower on the skulls head.  It's from the same collection but the Floral Fiesta...isn't it so beautiful and big.

Here is a complete list of project used on this card:

Here's a tip"  adding for dimensional item to your card can really make it POP.  The flower steals the show on this card and it too was just a stamp image that I molded to get the 3-D effect and WOW!!!

How Cute with Crafters Companion

Isn't this just the most adorable little box?  I created it using Sara's Signature Collection: Floral Delights that was just released last week.  I'm always looking for new flower dies and this collection has several along with beautiful flourishes and leaves to create that desired cluster look.

Here are the goodies I used on this little project: Sara Davis Signature Collection: Floral Delights: 6 x6 paper pad, Pretty Petal Die, and the Ultimate Tool.

Here's a great tip: with Wedding season upon us, wouldn't this make the perfect size box to house a special ring?  It would also be a beautiful keepsake.

Just Thinking of You with Heartfelt Creations

The newest collection from Heartfelt Creations is so fresh and just makes you get ready for that summer weather that is right around the corner.  Strawberries that are starting to turn red in the fields and are ready for the picking...I just love it.

Today's card is one I created layering flowers and strawberries over the top of a flourish die cut and the finished result certainly is a great representative of the Heartfelt Style.

Have you had a chance to check out the new collection?  Better yet head over to our blog today and see all the wonderful samples the rest of the design team members have made.  You'll fall in love.
