Priceless

This is a layout I did of my sister Gini...who really is priceless to me.  I created the layout for Creative Charms and used embellishments from their Vintage Collections.  It was perfect with this new paper line from Bo Bunny.

Layering up your embellishments like I did with the velvet flowers and make your own frames really gives a whole other look to your embellies...so don't be afraid to mix it and create your own look.

Have a great weekend and I'll see you next week.

KaiserCraft Design Team Announcement

Today was the big day that KaiserCraft was to announce their Design Team...I've been on pins and needles waiting for this day...I'm thrilled to tell you that I MADE IT!!!! I'll be one of the lucky, lucky Kaisercraft Design Team Girls for 2011-2012.  My fellow design team members are so darn creative and great, I'll certainly be in wonderful company.

Here is one of my projects I submitted for the final round.  I adore the colors in the Velvet Ensemble Kaisercraft collection. They are so rich and beautiful.  I had to accent the orange as that's my favorite color.  Anyhooo.....hope you enjoy and know I"m doing a happy dance about the news.

Shabby Hugs

It's always fun to push yourself in one way or another and this card was a bit of a stretch for me with it's shaaby chic look. I love the finished result as it's used some of my favorites products...Kaisercraft flowers and paper, Tim Holtz rosette die and distress inik, seam binding and of course Waltzing Mouse stamps...so how could it not be beautiful.

The challenge over at Shabby Tea Room is embossing and though you only had to do one type, dry or heat...I did both on this card.  I think the leaves really rock with their detail and the stamped doilies are subtle...I like how one is so bold and the other so soft.  The sketch I used was for Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge.    Have to tell you I was a bit tickled when I showed my husband my card his remark was " How would that fit in an envelope"  I suppose my cards are getting to be like mini sculptures and not cards anymore, LOL.
See you tomorrow with some Heartfelt Creations Love.

Hugs,
