Shabby Hugs

It's always fun to push yourself in one way or another and this card was a bit of a stretch for me with it's shaaby chic look. I love the finished result as it's used some of my favorites products...Kaisercraft flowers and paper, Tim Holtz rosette die and distress inik, seam binding and of course Waltzing Mouse stamps...so how could it not be beautiful.

The challenge over at Shabby Tea Room is embossing and though you only had to do one type, dry or heat...I did both on this card.  I think the leaves really rock with their detail and the stamped doilies are subtle...I like how one is so bold and the other so soft.  The sketch I used was for Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge.    Have to tell you I was a bit tickled when I showed my husband my card his remark was " How would that fit in an envelope"  I suppose my cards are getting to be like mini sculptures and not cards anymore, LOL.
See you tomorrow with some Heartfelt Creations Love.

Bit the Bullet

So I finally bit the bullet and ordered me some Waltzing Mouse Stamps.  I love them so but they were a wee bit pricey coming from England...but I've wanted some for so long.  Tonight I sat down and created a card using some of their stamps and did their sketch challenge with it.  I know this is going to be one of those sets you go to again and again and again.
I really have been working a lot lately but it's all been things for various design teams or SNR so I haven't been able to publish...but know there is some great stuff coming soon.

See you tomorrow for Heartfelt Wednesday.

LOVE IT...HUMMMMMMMM!

You know how some cards just come together...but others seem to be a struggle and just never live up to your expectations...this is the that card.  I worked for a while on this card this evening and it never really gave me that "it's complete feel".  I suppose that is just the way it is, they can't all be masterpieces. It's pretty enough and my hubbie will think it's beautiful for Valentines Day...maybe by then it will have grown on me.

Hope you all have a great weekend.  I'll be celebrating my little man turning FIVE!!!!!  Man do they grow up quick.

Hugs, Lori

I used the waltzing mouse sketch for this card.
