Flowers in my Spare Time

Happy Friday bloggers.  One of the things I love to do in my down time is just sit in front of the TV and make flowers.  I'll have cut various shapes from my Cheery Lynn Dies and then with my tools, foam pad and inks in hand I can just sit and create all types of flowers.  I have a square plastic case that I keep all my finished flowers in so when it's time to create a card I can just pull out what tickles my fancy for that project.

I had created these Black Eyed Susans and when I started layering up my card that were the perfect compliment.  They were super easy to create with the Daisy Strip and to add that realistic look I topped them off with some Flower Soft.

Here is a complete recipe of all the dies I used to create this 6 x 6 card.  The paper is from the KasierCraft 75 cents Collection and Coredinations.

See you next week and until then......

Friends Layout

This 12 x 12 layout was created using KaiserCraft Marigold Collection.  The handmade flowers used the Daisy Strip Die from Cheery Lynn and the Sunburst die from Cheery Lynn's Build a Flower 2 Embellishment.

This is a picture of my sister and I taken this year on Christmas Eve.  I'm so blessed that granted we are sisters, but we are friends too.

Negatives and Positives : Tutorial

KaiserCraft has some wonderful templates/masks to use and I wanted to show you some great tips for making backgrounds.  This tutorial is super simple so enjoy and have fun!

Step 1. Lay your template down and mist lightly around the template. I used a lighter colored brown for this base coat.

Step 2. Holding your template up over the trashcan spray the template heavy with a darker colored mist. Then place with the inked side down on your paper. Roll over the top to press into your paper.

Step 3. Let your inks dry and decorate your project as desired.
