It's a JustRite Saturday Night!

Just Rite Stamps is having a great challenge right now, make a tag. So for my Saturday evening fun I thought I would participate. I made this tag using paper from the new Close To My Heart Collection, Mistletoe and of course used an adorable stamp set from Just Rite Stamps. Just Rite Stamps work beautifully with Spellbinders, so I got a chance to throw that into the mix too! The pearls are from Close To My Heart and the red ones were colored with my Copics. I have to admit making this holiday tag is starting to get me in the mood for the holidays...OH NO!

So What's a Level 2 ?

This is a Level Two layout I did of my youngest son Cole at the beach.  He is so smart and it's fun to see him discover the world every day.  So you may be asking, What the heck is a level two layout?  A level two layout is a layout that using embellishments but no stamping...do you know how hard it is for me to hold back on the stamping?
The collection that I used for this layout is from Close To My Heart and it's the new  Magnifique line.  I also used one of our new layouts from the Magic book, so if you don't have that asset yet, you better be ordering one soon, AWESOME. Finished it off with some adorable bling, bling and added a pocket for the tag by building up with foam tape.  I use foam tape like it's water...I really should buy stock in the stuff.  Hope you enjoy my layout and I would love to see a Level 2 layout from you.

Happy Birthday

I had a long day, cleaning house, working and of course taking care of the kids...I really was dead on my feet when I put the boys to bed this evening.  I really should have gone to bed myself but I just wanted to have a little fun this evening, so I went out into my craft cube (that's what I've starting calling it) and made this birthday card.  It was a quick one, but I just needed a little mommy craft time and this fit the bill.

This cards qualifies for the following challenges:

1st time for Everything !

I've never made a tear bear/animal before but have adored them for quite sometime.  In fact for Christmas my sister gave me supplies to make them, and still had never made one...so here's my 1st one...and I love him.  They are so stinkin cute.  I made the flowers out of ribbon and love the effect that technique creates.  I stamped the beware background that the bunny is sitting on and added a little tag to the top right corner that also warns...be ware.  Killer Vampire Bunnies sure are scary.  Added lots and lots and lots of layers for a great buildup and an adorable finished project.  Here are all the challenges this project meets.

If you seem confused, I did have to remake this project for all these challenges...my other project is going to be published and can't be on the internet...so sorry for any confusion but this one meets all the requirements.

Getting My Mojo Back

Do you ever just have periods where you don't feel creative in the least?  Well I've just gotten my mojo back and the creative juices are flowing once again.  This is a card I made using the Close to My Heart stamp of the month, THRILLER.  I love this set, my favorite in the new idea book.  On the tag insert I stamped the vampire image and then embossed it.  Once it was embossed with black I used my handy brayer and applied ink colors of sunset and into sunflower for the progressive color.  I also pleated ribbon along the card and glued it down to give a lot of texture with the ribbon.  The paper collection I used is Hooligans from CTMH, in fact it's the featured paper kit for me this month.  Enjoy and be sure to leave a comment..

Oh and stay tuned as I'm in the process of getting together some awesome blog candy for my wonderful followers.

Cricut French Manor Card

This is a 5 x7 card I made using my new FRENCH MANOR CRICUT CARTRIDGE.   I had this cartridge for several  months and just wasn't sure what I should do with it.  I love the images, but they aren't everyday things you would think of.  I also used my new little tool, the I-Rock for the bling on the background.  Have to admit, it's a little frustrating to get the I-Rock to work properly, but once you do it's fun.  I stamped the sentiment with a Close To My Heart stamp set  ( Simple Stitches C1234 ) .  Majority of the card is raised using my wonderful CTMH foam tape.  I love that stuff and go through it like water...all of my projects just have to have dimension.

Have a safe and Happy Labor Day and remember to create and inspire.
