Family Layout

Happy Weekend everyone.  I wanted to share one of my Kaiser layouts I've created with the Ms Nelly Collection. Honestly when I first got Ms. Nelly, I thought it was pretty but it wasn't my favorite.  Then I started using it and I really have fallen in love with the color combos and the way the finished projects are so bright and happy.

This picture is of my mother and sister year ago.  They were both so pretty and still are.  The cherry blooms in the pictures are perfect for tying into the colors of the paper.

There are always lots of little layers going on throughout the page that really add interest and depth.  I hope you have a great weekend and I'll see you next week.

Hugs.

Life is Better.....

I'll be honest, I'm the world's biggest sap. When I finished this card all of could think of was my family...my boys, sister, brother-in-law, and parents. My life is what it is because of them and I couldn't have picked any better than what God has blessed me with. Really the sentiment says it all...my life is better with you in it...and that goes out to each of my family members.
The colors are my favorite as I'm sure you've noticed. I love to use pink and green ....ALOT. Knowing that you can only guess how thrilled I was when I opened up my Beary Scrap goodie box and saw the new Echo Park Victoria Garden Kit.

I have to tell you this is one you'll want to be sure to get the whole kit. The papers are so vibrant and pretty and I love the sticker sheets that come with the kit. So for the tic-tac-toe current challenge I did the flower, charm, and dry embossing...

The flower was created using the orchid die from Scrapping Cottage...it's beautiful all put together.  Really it's so much prettier in person than even the picture portrays.
Have you gotten your challenge in for the Beary Scrap yet? If not hurry there is still time and you might just win. I'll see you next week and in the meantime be sure to tell someone you love, your life is better because of them.
Hugs,

Varying Heartfelt Flowers

Happy Wednesday everyone...with it being Wednesday you know it's Heartfelt Creations Day.  I actually have two projects to share with you today.

The first is a card I created.  The flowers were created using Heartfelt Botanical stamps, distressing and layering.  Also the stamped background shabby lace is heartfelt.  I used three distress ink colors of brown and varied the colors around the stamp to get the shading on the stamped image.

My second project is a covered clipboard I did using some of my Kaisercraft goodies and Heartfelt Creations stamps for the flowers and foliage.

The botanical stamps were used to created these flowers also using stamping an designer paper.  I didn't water distress them as I did in the first project and I wanted to show you the different looks one stamp can give.

Be sure to hop on over to Heartfelt's Blog and take a look at the rest of the design team and their creations...it's always a treat.

See ya tomorrow

If the Shoe Fits

Cheery Lynn Dies is having a design team call and I thought I would throw my hat or shoe into the mix, LOL.  I created this three dimensional shoe using Kaiser's new Miss Nelly's paper collection.  The colors are gorgeous...honestly I'd love to have a real pair of shoes just like this...I'd wear them all the time.

I used a bunch of dies on this project and I will say...for as intricate as the dies are..they pop out with ease.  This really was a fun project to do.

Here is a list of all th dies used :

Cathedral Lace Frame DL148 (Base of stand)
Sweet William D137 (flowers)
English Tea Party DL 101 (doily )
Lace Light Deco Border B133 ( edge of top/toe of shoe)
Cherry Blossom B129 (Flower)
Exotic Butterflies DL113
Fanciful Flourish B117

Movie Night

Hi Everyone. Well tonight was movie night for our household so I thought I would create this card to celebrate. Now I realize that some might not consider family movie night a celebration, but honestly I adore hanging out with my family so much...I DO!

I love the Popcorn / Cotton Candy Die. It's adorable and really can be used for so many different types of projects. On my popcorn bucket I inked the edges of the kernals with ink so they would stand out from each other. I also added some dimensional foam tape to some of the pieces of popcorn to add layers.

You can really see the 3-D effects from a side view. I also used the Ticket Booth die for the tickets/sentiment...super cute way to add a message.

So we enjoyed the movie...although we ended up having ice cream instead of popcorn, LOL...I hope you plan a special event for an ordinary day for your family and share some fun time together.

Hugs,
