Make a Ribbon Bookmark in No Time

Quick and Simple G45 Tags for the Holidays
Don't you just love getting those special tags at the holidays...you know the ones. They hang from the adorn the gifts under the tree and scream to be opened first. All this week on Graphic 45's blog we are featuring easy tags that you can make in minutes and that be sure to set your presents apart from the others.

It was a Pampered Weekend with Crafters Companion
I created this card using the Spectrum Noir new sparkle markers and OMGOSH...they are wonderful. I had so much fun coloring with them. I had colored the base with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and then colored over selected portions with the sparkle markers. The only thing I need to get down is the photography of the sparkle so you can see it better from home.

Thankful with Crafter's Companion
This month is one that reminds us of all the things to be thankful for, what are you thankful for? As hard as this year has been I have so many things to be thankful for...my family, health, the area I live in, my job, and all the wonderful companies/teams I have the honor to work with in the scrapbooking/cardmaking industry.

A Touch of Elegance
Hi everyone. Today's card is one that I just love, love, love. I'm using Graphic 45's Botanicabella rereleased collection along with some of my favorite dies and card stock from Crafter's Companion. I think the two together make for one more elegant easel card.
I topped it off with some ribbon from May Arts. This is one of my favorite ribbons as it has wired edges so that helps to be able to make bows fluff and stand just the way I want them to.

Put a Bow On It with Ribbon Resource
Decorative pillows are the rage and they can really be
expensive, so today I’ve got a great little tutorial to share with you that
will have you a one of a kind decorative pillow for not a lot of $$$. You can find all types of beautiful ribbon at The Ribbon Resource and get it in small amounts.....how exciting is that.
Find a plain pillow, you pick the size. I found one at target in the $3 bin that was
canvas with gold polka dots. It was
perfect for this project. Next you’ll want to pick out your ribbon. I suggest using a wide ribbon. For this pillow I used a 3” wide Burlap
ribbon that’s printed with gold.
Work the pillow with your hand
before you attach the ribbon. You want
to try to get the filler on the inside to move outwards.
Next wrap your ribbon around
your pillow, tuck in at the back and you can even tack it down with a needle
and thread. Then just fluff your pillow
out and adjust your ribbon on the front.

cute it is finished. I also made another
one with some canvas polka dot ribbon that is super cute too. The pair is adorable together.

Ribbon Bracelet with the Ribbon Resource
Everybody loves a
little bling bling and today I’ve got a really easy bracelet that you can
create in no time. These make wonderful
gifts for your friends and with all the ribbon choices we offer along with
various beads, the only limit is your imagination.
Gather together ribbon, beads/pearls, needle and bead thread
Fold your ribbon with a small hill(about ¼” to
½” depending on the side of your pearl) and lay your pearl beside it, then run
your needle and thread through to set.
Continue the first step until
you have enough of a length to go around your wrist. I used 13 beads, but this will varying
depending on your size bead and size of bracelet desired.
Once you have all your beads set, then run back through the
ribbon and the beads with your needle and thread. This will help to make sure the bracelet stay
tight and secure the beads/pearls.
At the end of your bracelet when you’ve run the thread back
through tie a double knot and then run the loose ends back through the three or
four of the pearls to finish off.
Finish off your bracelet with a cute bow. I just slide my over my wrist when I want to
wear, but you could just tie on and off
if you prefer.

Love Birds Birdhouse with Graphic 45
The stars of this project are the two love birds, I’m in love with them. They needed a house to live in so I made the birdhouse for them to roost. I had to dress the birdhouse up a bit with flowers, ribbon and fussy cut images as we couldn’t have them live in a plain jane house, LOL. I think I’ll be making more of these birds around Christmas time to nestle them in my tree…I can’t wait.

Make a Ribbon Topiary with May Arts Ribbon
Who wouldn't love to create this whimsical centerpiece for that special occasion? Just think, with the right ribbon from May Arts you could make beautiful baby shower displays, wedding reception table toppers or just one for your everyday home decor in coordinating colors. The sky is the limit, and when you see how easy it is to create one of these ribbon topiaries you'll be making them for yourself and friends left and right.
Here are the supplies that you'll need. Lots of fun ribbon from May Arts ( a complete list of the ribbon I used can be found at the bottom of this post), a foam base and lots of straight pins.
Using 1 1/2" wide ribbon, cut lengths of ribbon 4 1/2" long.
You'll want to use a wide variety of color coordinated ribbon. I've used some crochet ribbon, sheer ribbons and of course some great solids with and without patterns. The more the merrier.
Roll the 4 1/2" ribbon as shown above
Using two straight pins, one on each side, push down into the foam base. Continue doing this all over the foam base mixing all the ribbons together. If you have a spot that needs a little more, just stick another ribbon roll down in to make the ball nice and full.
Once the balls are covered and you're ready to put in a pot, push down into the pot and then cover the top with tissue paper.
Using wired ribbon, wrap the stem of the topiary and attach to the foam base with a straight pin.
To add a bit more whimsy, take the wired ribbon and makes some curls, then place them at the base of each of the balls and also at the very top. Fluff and arrange your ribbon as desired.
Lastly I decored the pot with this adorable self adhesive May Arts ribbon. I just felt it gave that nice finished touch and really made it look festive.
