It's a Perfect Partner with Crafters Companion
I love this sweet shallow spring box that I created with Crafter's Companion and the Sheena's Perfect Partner Sweet William. Of course I'm a softie to anything called Sweet William and this stamp and matching die set is just stunning. I love everything about it.
TIP: You can use the Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens either straight on the paper for a more intense color or you can place some of their ink on a palette and water them down for a more subtle coloring. They are so versatile for your shading.
Sara Davies is coming to HSN March 16 with so many goodies you won't believe it....HERE"S A SNEAK PEEK!!!
Here's a picture of the box open so you can see how shallow it is and it's ready to hold a love note, pictures or small little keepsakes.
Need to know what I used on this project? Here's a complete list of Crafters Companion goodies used:
Spectrum Noir Sparkle: Cosmos, Holly Leaf, Olive, Jade, Amethyst and Pink Garnet, Friendship Sentiments Stamp, Sheena Perfect Partner Victorian Floral Metal Die: Sweet William Die and Stamp set, Gemini Set 3 Metal Die Pack, Ultimate Tool, Die'sire Decorative Dies: Square Doilies

Paper Smooches meets Xyron
I thought I would create a gift box adorned with an adorable monkey from the Smoocheroos Stamp Set. I colored the monkey and then popped him up with some foam tape made with my Creative Station.
The top is adorned with a handmade festive flower...it added that extra little pop that was needed.
Be sure to check out the rest of the design teams projects for the week.....they're sure to spark your creative juices. Here's a recipe of the products used and links to where you can get yours.

Shabby Chic Flower Tutorial with Xyron and DCWV
Today I'd love to share a quick tutorial with you that will help you make your flowers more realistic.
I created these flowers as a topper on my Home Sweet Home gift box. The paper collection I used is DCWV "Spiced Cider Stack". Just lovely for the fall season. Of course my Xyron glues helped me put it all together in no time.
So let's jump right in and see how to create these beautiful blooms.
Some of DCWV papers have a glossy finish and that is what I used on these flowers. The first step is to cut out flower petals. I used a Heartfelt Spellbinders die.
Turn the flowers over so the glossy side is down and spritz them with water. Leave them for a minute or so to let the water saturate the paper.
Using a fine pair of tweezers and your fingers bend and wrinkle each petal as shown.
Using a sponge dauber rub ink along all the folds, creases and edges of the petals. Your petals should still be a bit damp and the distress inks will bleed just a little bit, which is perfect.
Using McGill flower tools and foam pad and cup the center of your petals.
Be sure your petals are all dry. If they aren't you can dry them with a heat gun. Take Xyron's Adhesive Dots and place one in the center of a petal. Then adhere your next petal up and work upward until you have a full flower. The adhesive dots let you build a flower very quickly.
Finish your flower centers with a pearl, rhinestone or in my case I used a KaiserCraft Sparklet. It's whatever you would like.
Here are more pictures of my finished box.

Exciting News from Scrap-Mart
I was thrilled to be asked to join the Scrap-Mart Design Team. I love working with the team as a guest designer and am really honored to join them. Today I've created a gift box. I was inspired by a picture I saw on Pinterest or somewhere of a box similar to this, so I just had to sit down and figure it out and I love the final results.
The flower was created using the Grand Peony Creations Spellbinders Die. The base and top both used Fleur De Lis Motifs Spellbinders. Of course I inked everything up with Distress Inks from Tim Holtz.
