Spring Fever

Yes, it's snowing again...I can't believe it and I'm really, really tired of snow. The great news is I never tire of playing in my papercrafts so I suppose that's a good thing. Looking out at all the white I crave spring. Crazy as it is, I actually saw little crocus plants starting to come up at my Mother's house just the other day....Lord send Spring. This card was done for Copic Creations...it's was to feather blend. I've been taking a class on Copics and I'll be honest, this is the number one technique I have a problem with. I just haven't master it yet, but don't worry, I won't give up. The paper I used was from this months feature paper pack from Close To My Heart " Top Stitch" . Overall my little Tulips are a gentle reminder that there is a season for everything and spring will come.

My Favorite Card for the Day!

I've done a bunch of cards today for the Flourishes Anniversary Challenges, but this one is my favorite. I adore this paper pack from Close To My Heart...it's called Perfect Day and it's actually the pack I fell in love with when I chose to become a CTMH consultant...it's just BEAUTIFUL. The challenge was a sketch and I really enjoyed this one. Some sketches I find hard, but I knew exactly what I was going to do when I saw the layout. It really is a simple card, but sometimes simple makes a "Perfect Day".

Frame It! Challenge

This card is for the frame it Flourishes challenge. I used a digi image from Sassy Studio Designs and my new cuddlebug Asian folder to add the cherry blossoms on the background paper. The finishing touches are from Close To My Heart's paper Unforgettable.

Beeeeeeeee Mine!

I used one of my loved

Alota Stamps for this little card. Their challenge this week is red, pink and cream colors. I also used glimmer mist and masked the stamped image out to spray around it....it turned out OK, but I really could stand to work on that technique just a bit more. This was for the Cuttlebug Challenge Got to use some of my new Cuddle Bug Valentines folders also...which is always fun. I love adding such dimension to my cards so quickly. Stamped a little sentiment, added a button a bow and BAM! a cute little Valentines Day Card.
This card also qualifies for the following challenges:
Crafty Creations wings
All Sorts Challenge: buttons, bows and distress ( the glimmer mist)
Pollycraft : Things with wings

Have a Cherry Birthday!

I have loved this paper since I got it from my good friend, Barb...how cute is that cherry paper. I'm bad for wanting to save paper and not use it and that is one thing this year I am going to overcome...use it, darn it! So when Flourishes set out this challenge to do a Fruity Birthday how could I not go to my precious stash of cherry paper. I also managed to use my Gypsy that I am learning to love....I really need to watch some tutorials on that little baby. This card was also perfect for the Cute Card Thursday challenge....spots and dots.

Pop It Up!

This Flourishes Challenge is to use Pop Ups...now anyone who ever looks at my blogs knows I adore foam tape and making things have dimension. So this one was really easy for me. I also embossed and stitched on my card to add more textures. I also entered this card on the Gingersnap Creations challenge for embossing. I wish you could see how the gold embossing really pops in person.
Here are a few more challenges this card qualifies for:
Corrisive Challenge : All You Need is Love

Wishing for Spring

Yes, we had snow and ice...AGAIN! I'm trying to look at the happy side of things, I get to stay in and craft, but I am really sick of all this winter weather! So for this card I used Flourishes Primrose stamp and thought of how much I adore spring and the budding of plants. I also entered this in Flourishes Anniversary Challenge " My favorite Flourishes Stamp" I colored and shaded the background paper of the stamp and really like how that turned out. The paper is from Close To My Heart "Magic Moments" and it's always been a great standby. I applied small pearls to the paper and colored all of them with my copics to give a pink hue. Finally foam tape (love that foam tape) was used to pop the images and a little more embellies and some ribbon really drew this card together. The sketch that I used was from Creative Inspirations blog challenge. Let me know what you think of my card...love to get some blog love.
