LOVE IT...HUMMMMMMMM!

You know how some cards just come together...but others seem to be a struggle and just never live up to your expectations...this is the that card.  I worked for a while on this card this evening and it never really gave me that "it's complete feel".  I suppose that is just the way it is, they can't all be masterpieces. It's pretty enough and my hubbie will think it's beautiful for Valentines Day...maybe by then it will have grown on me.

Hope you all have a great weekend.  I'll be celebrating my little man turning FIVE!!!!!  Man do they grow up quick.

Hugs, Lori

I used the waltzing mouse sketch for this card.

JustRite Challenge Card

This week over at JustRite's Blog, they have a sketch challenge.  I really love their stamps but don't have any of their new ones...so I thought I would join in the fun of the challenge.  I got so tickled when I started to do their sketch
It was all rectangles...and as many just rite stamps that I have they are all circles.  Actually majority of them are Christmas one and baking ones...I mean like three to four of each.  What does that tell you about me?  I love Christmas and I love to eat, LOL.

I love the way I addressed the sketch for only having circle stamps.  The paper is from Webster's Pages.  The keys/key hole is from Tim Holtz, foam tape for lots of layers and shadow boxing effect,  and of course the embossed sentiment is from JUSTRITE.  So how did I do considering the challenge and what I had to work with.

Just a little card stock and some stamps....WOW

This was a little challenge I came across this weekend that was to make a card and not use any of that beautiful designer paper, I just adore .  Believe it or not...this is all stamped, not a bit of designer paper was used and it just goes to show what you can do when you put your mind to it.

The flower was made using Blossom 2 from Spellbinders die, stickles and pearl opaques from CTMH.  The background stamp is a new one from Close To My Heart called "Two Step Background" and the sentiment is also on a die from Spellbinders "Fleur De Les Accents".  The border is another little secret I've discovered from Close To My Heart...Kraft Ready Color Borders...just added some ink and it was a perfect match.

This card qualifies for the following challenges:
The Shabby Tea Room
Simon Says : Love is in the air
Wild Orchid Challenge: Love is
Papertake Weekly Challenge: anything goes plus a flower
Mark's Finest Papers: Handmade Flowers
