October's Stamp of the Month Blog Hop with " Holiday Warmth"

Welcome to October's Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. If you just hopped over from Debra's Blog your on the right path. This month we have split our Close To My Heart Consultants Blog hop up into three rounds so please be sure to check the bottom of this post where I've posted the start of each round so you can really take in all the beautiful artwork.

This month's stamp of the month is perfect for the upcoming holiday season. "Holiday Warmth" will be a delight to any scrapbook layout or card...or think outside of the box like I did and create some beautiful holiday gifts for your loved ones. The stamp set includes a whimsy Christmas tree, stacks of gifts, snowflakes and more. I've used Cranberry, Olive and Sunflower inks to stamp this pillar candle and then added some cranberry brads to the finished piece to add that extra touch and texture. This is such an easy technique. You just need to stamp you image on a white sheet of tissue paper (be sure to stamp on the shiny side). Cut out your stamped image and place with a small amount of glue where you want the image to be. Wrap a piece of everyday wax paper around your candle and hold it firmly in place. Be sure you don't have any wrinkles in either your wax paper or your tissue stamped images. Take your heat gun and very lightly run over the image...you will see the image blend and change and melt into the candle base. You just want to be sure you keep that heat gun moving...If you stay in one place to long you'll melt areas you didn't mean to. Once you've seen the image change...take off your wax paper and that's it...Your Done!

You can get this stamp set discounted or even Free with qualifying purchase and it's only available through the month of October and then it gone. So CLICK HERE to order yours today.

Now that you've seen my monthly project...Hop on over to Nancy's Blog and keep enjoying all the artwork. There are two other Rounds of artwork..... Jena's Blog start round 1 or you can hope to Judy's Blog for round three. I hope you enjoy the hops and please be sure to leave me some feedback.

Fun project - I haven't done candles like that in a while, I might just have to create some more now - thanks for the inspiration!
