Heartfelt Wednesday : New Life

Welcome to another Wednesday with Heartfelt Creations.  This week I created a layout for you.  I had to use these pictures...they are from a robins nest that was/is right outside my parents house.  My Dad was able to hold the camera up and shoot...and I think he got some great shots.

New Life 12 x 12 Layout

Heartfelt Creations Products: Perfect Petal Medley Stamp HCPC 3313, Posy Patch Flowers Stamp HCPC 3303, Posy Patch Die HCD701, Perfect Petals Die HCD704, Decorative Butterfly Border Die HCD702, Scalloped Circle Grand Nestibilities 452063, Zip Dry Glue ZD2OZ

Other Products Used: Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden Paper, Prima Paper, Ranger Liquid Pearls, Tattered Rose Distress Ink, Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden Fonts, Kasier Craft Pearls, Paper Piercer, Corner Rounder/Scallop punch, standard hole punch, X-acto tool, 3-d tape

Directions:
Cut the center our of your base page leaving at least an inch border. Take the inside piece of your base page and use this to create your scalloped circle. On each of the scallops punch a hole with your hole punch. Cut your top base to 11 ½ x 11 ½ and adhere to your base frame using zip dry glue. For the long pink strip cut to 3 ¼ x 10 ½ , scallop and punch the top edge and ink all around with distress ink. For the pale blue word strip cut to 3 ¾ x 7 ½ and scallop, punch and ink that piece. Cut the patterned butterflies from the paper using your X-acto tool. You just want to do the wings so they will still be attached but you will be able to pull forward so they look as if they are coming off the page.

To create the flowers stamp various sizes of Posy Patch flowers and cut out using the matching die. Ink all the edges with distress ink. Take the handle end of your piercer and curl the petals inward. Stack and glue with Zip Dry. Complete the centers with Rangers Perfect pearls and let dry. Cut butterfly out using Butterfly die and patterned paper and add perfect pearls to the body of the butterfly…let dry. Stamp leaves with Perfect petal medley stamp and cut with matching die…curl the leaves also as you did the flower petals.

Assembly:
Lay your patterned paper pieces down tucking the circle under the butterflies wing. Glue all patterned paper down. Mount photos on patterned paper and glue down. Add fonts to the layout and also glue all your flowers, leaves and butterfly down . Add foam tape to the back of the X-acto tooled butterflies to give some dimension. Apply pearls to layout and add perfect pearls to the font letters…be sure to not touch until dry. Finally back your whole layout on a clean 12 x 12 piece of cardstock to give strength and also a base for the foam tape on the back of the butterflies to adhere to.

Now it's time to check out the other Heartfelt Design Teams creations...they really are stunning.  Oh and be sure to stop in next Wednesday as it will be the premiere of the new release...and let me tell you, It's stunning.

Hugs, Lori
