CTMH Jingle Cards !

This was another one of our creative sessions at Close To My Heart Regionals Celebrate in Minneapolis, MN this past weekend. It's hard to believe it was a week ago I was standing in line registering. I know soon enough it will be time to head to D.C. for convention, but boy do I cherish those trips. I have to tell you the whole trip was exhausting but fun. I had the joy (bit of sarcasim) to have a three hour delay in Atlanta Thursday night on my way to MN and then we got to circle the airport in Minneapolis once therefor 30 minutes before we could land. I ended up getting to the hotel at 1:30 in the morning and then who the heck could sleep, knowing the fun that awaited for the rest of the weekend. Anytime you go to a Close To My Heart event you had better eat your Wheaties, because it's go, go, go! By the time I got in Sunday I was ready to sleep for a month, but I learned so much. It's always worth every minue and penny it takes to attend a Close To My Heart function. Now onto the project...this is a set of cards we did using the JINGLE paper pack from the current Idea Book. I love the way we have taken one of our holiday papers, but have made so many everyday cards and of course we did throw a few holidays ones in also. Two stamp sets we used were Thank You D1361 and Delightful Things D1369. Add some of our cute Twinkle Brads and a little ribbon and there you go. I challenge you to see how many various cards you can make from just a couple stamp sets and one pack of paper...HAVE FUN!

CTMH New Journal Sneak Peek !

I loved all the creative projects we got to make this past weekend at Close To My Heart Regionals Celebration in Minneapolis, MN. Granted we participated in some great classes but the creative portion is always so much fun. This was a workshop that Jeanette Lynton actually taught, how cool is that? This little journal will be available in the Spring 2010 Idea Book. It has a picture pocket on the front ready to add some artwork to make it your own. This will be a perfect gift for a friend or family...recipe book, journal, even a child artwork book. The paper pack that we used for this project is my favorite from the new/current Idea Book, GRACE. The colors are so warm and beautiful and just a reminder of the fall season we are heading into. Remember the little details like the buttons, hemp, ribbon and the sponge daubing...they really add great dimension to your projects. The bottom picture is a snap that was taken of my MN posse...This is such an awesome and creative group of women that I have gotten the pleasure to get to know and just adore. From left to right...Shirley, Trudy, Sarita, Melissa and Dayna...and of course that's me squatting in the front...if only you knew how tired my legs got after about 5 of these pictures. I can honestly say this business has been wonderful for all the products, the company, the creative outlet, the money and awards but more than anything is the friendships....wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!

Sneak Peek CTMH Stamp of the Month

This is one of the adorable stamp sets that I won at Close To My Heart Regionals in MN this past weekend. I got this particular set for being the #1 recruiter through the second quarter of 2009. This yummy stamp set won't even premiere until the January 2010 Spring Idea Book and will be one of the Stamp's of the Month. As the title is appropriately named the stamp will make sweet cards a "Piece of Cake". Be sure to keep checking back to my blog over the next few days as I won two other never released stamp sets that I'll be sharing with all of you.

CTMH Regionals Artwork ROCKED!

I had such a blast this past weekend at Close To My Heart Regionals...it was awesome. I learned so much that I just can't wait to share with all of my team and my customers. We had a ton of creative sessions and I'll be sharing my artwork with you over the next several days. Plus stay tuned because I'll have some sneak peeks at products that won't be available until the Spring 2010 book...You're going to fall in love! This was a cute project we did using the Around the Holidays Card Kit...isn't this garland just as cute as a button. I will be offering a local workshop for this garland, but don't worry...don't live near me, I can send you out the workshop along with directions. I just love how this thinks outside of the box, something I strive to always do...a card kit? into garland? are you serious? I just love this and I knew you would also.

Close To My Heart Regionals..Fun !

I'm here in Minneapolis, MN for the Regionals Celebration with Close To My Heart. I love coming to Close To My Heart events were I learn so much and have the opportunity to meet other great consultants. I wanted to share a little project I did for some of my team members that came to Regionals and also my roommate. It's always nice to come with a little gift to say hi, or thank you and being the southern young lady I was raised to be...I brought gifts to share. These are some adorable picture frames I did using the Grace Paper Pack, Grace Stickease Stickers, Twilight reinker and base paint and crochet ribbon. I got the frames at Michael's for a song and then really turn them into I hope a keepsake for my friends. I can't wait to get back home and share all my experiences with my team, club members and blog followers.

October's Stamp of the Month Blog Hop with " Holiday Warmth"

Welcome to October's Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. If you just hopped over from Debra's Blog your on the right path. This month we have split our Close To My Heart Consultants Blog hop up into three rounds so please be sure to check the bottom of this post where I've posted the start of each round so you can really take in all the beautiful artwork.

This month's stamp of the month is perfect for the upcoming holiday season. "Holiday Warmth" will be a delight to any scrapbook layout or card...or think outside of the box like I did and create some beautiful holiday gifts for your loved ones. The stamp set includes a whimsy Christmas tree, stacks of gifts, snowflakes and more. I've used Cranberry, Olive and Sunflower inks to stamp this pillar candle and then added some cranberry brads to the finished piece to add that extra touch and texture. This is such an easy technique. You just need to stamp you image on a white sheet of tissue paper (be sure to stamp on the shiny side). Cut out your stamped image and place with a small amount of glue where you want the image to be. Wrap a piece of everyday wax paper around your candle and hold it firmly in place. Be sure you don't have any wrinkles in either your wax paper or your tissue stamped images. Take your heat gun and very lightly run over the image...you will see the image blend and change and melt into the candle base. You just want to be sure you keep that heat gun moving...If you stay in one place to long you'll melt areas you didn't mean to. Once you've seen the image change...take off your wax paper and that's it...Your Done!

You can get this stamp set discounted or even Free with qualifying purchase and it's only available through the month of October and then it gone. So CLICK HERE to order yours today.

Now that you've seen my monthly project...Hop on over to Nancy's Blog and keep enjoying all the artwork. There are two other Rounds of artwork..... Jena's Blog start round 1 or you can hope to Judy's Blog for round three. I hope you enjoy the hops and please be sure to leave me some feedback.
