Marker Tower KaiserCraft Style

I fell in love with this marker tower from KasierCraft the minute I saw it...so I knew I wanted to really make it pretty to go in my studio.  It holds a ton of copics and is just the thing I needed.

The paper collection from KaiserCraft that I used is These Days.  The colors are perfect for that shabby vintage look.

The key hole was created using one of KaiserCraft's wooden flourishes.  I covered it with 3-4 coats of gold embossing powder and then while it hadn't set up 100% I stamped into the embossing powder.  I love the look it gave.

I always love to make the back just as pretty as the front and with this paper is was so easy...that and a little distress ink.

And here it is all filled up in my studio...isn't it just beautiful.

Heartfelt Wednesday

I really love the way this card turned out using the newest stamps from Heartfelt.  Mixing up the flowers with a guy stamp really made for a great finished result.  Heck guys like a little bling and flowers too, right?

I also used Tim Holtz's new distress markers on this project and let me just say, they are a must have. The paper and the beautiful sparklets are from KaiserCraft.

If you would love to learn more about how to create this card, please go to Heartfelt's Blog...you'll also get inspired by the rest of the design team.

Angels Among Us

I realize I've been MIA this past week...so sorry.  Life has just been a bit crazy but it's finally going to get back to normal.  YEAH!!!!!  Some of my favorite bedtime stories from when I was little where about angels and how they are always around and protecting us.  Sometimes they reveal themselves to us or perhaps to someone else for our protection.  This week I know I've had angels around me and I'm so very thankful.

This is a project I did for KaiserCraft using the new Tiny Woods Collection.  The handmade flowers show the vibrant colors of this paperline and also how you can adapt styles for different collections.

I adore the crackle finish using Tim Holtz Distress Paint and Ink.  So shabby wonderful.  I hope you always remember you have angels protecting you every minute of everyday.

Prickley Pear Monday

Please scroll below to see todays Amazing Mold Putty Post

Happy Monday everyone...it's a Prickley Pear kind of day and I've got this tag to share with you today.  It actually was inspired by my art journal page I created.  Having the art journal lets me explore new technique that I might not try on project...but somehow on the art journal it's OK and it opens new door.
I covered the tag with some Tim Holtz distress tape and then painted with Gesso.  I then colored the base with various distress ink colors and flicked some water on the surface.   The tag was stamped with gelato paint sticks and also with some distress colored ink.

Then I just added the stamped birds from the mini birds clear stamp set and die.  It's so nice to be able to add small intricate little stamps that the die makes so easy to work with.

I hope you like my tag and I'd love to see everyone start an art journal for inspiration.  Hop on over to the PPRS blog and check out the rest of the design teams projects...BEAUTIFUL!!!

Gone Fishing with Amazing Mold Putty

I have had so much fun on Amazing Mold Putty's design team and am sorry to see my term ending, but I know I'll be seeing beautiful projects from the upcoming DT.
For my last project I molded one of my favorite pins and used it as a charm on this card. The bronze powder helped me make it look metallic and one of a kind. The KaiserCraft paper was a perfect blend with my charm.

Sweet Treat for Easter

Who doesn't like a little sweet treat, especially on Easter. I created a lollipop cover using CottageCutz Easter Basket Bunny by ScrappingCottage. These covers are so much fun to make and the Easter Bunny really makes it stand out. The matching Peachy Keen stamp set that comes with the die, creates a precious face.
Now to go make 23 more of these for my son's class.

I have enjoyed being on ScrappingCottage / CottageCutz and will miss their team, but look foward to seeing all the beautiful projects the future DT will create.
